Unveiling Ceremony for Sino-Swiss Center held in GDUT
The unveiling ceremony for Sino-Swiss Center is held on the main campus on the morning of 16, November 2009. University President Professor Zhang Xiangwei, Deputy Director General of Guangdong Science and Technology Department, Mr. Gong Guoping, Secretary of State Secretariat for Education and Research, Switzerland, Mr. Mauro Dell'Ambrogio, Director of Swissnex, Shanghai, Ms. Flavia Schlegel address the ceremony. University Secretary Mr. Su Yifan, Deputy Director General of Foreign Affairs Office, Guangdong People’s Government, Mr. Ou Shaowu, Consul General of Switzerland, Guangzhou, Mr. Werner E. Nievergelt, Counsellor Science and Technology, Embassy of Switzerland, Beijing, Mr. Markus Reubi, and University President Assistant Professor Wang Chengyong as well as over 100 university and enterprise representatives from China and Switzerland attend the ceremony. Professor Zhang Li, Vice President of GDUT hosts the ceremony.
Guangdong University of Technology and University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland signed cooperative MOU in March, 2009. In order to better implement substantial cooperation projects and to achieve greater mutual benefits and development, the two sides decided to set up Sino-Swiss Center in Guangdong University of Technology. The center may serve as a base to implement cooperative projects between Guangdong University of Technology, Swissnex, Shanghai and University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland.
The International Conference on Manufacturing 3*Efficiency has the main goal to bring together researchers, academicians, industries and government officials to discuss how and what means are necessary to improve the efficiency of the manufacturing sector.
The event is organized by the Guangdong University of Technology, co-organized by the University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland and supported by swissnex Shanghai.
