On the coming 28th Oct., Mr. Andreas Schmucki (Chief Operating Officer, Swiss Pavilion Expo 2010 Shanghai), Mr. Beat Zoderer (Artist), Ms. Liu Siming (General Manager, Chongqing Iron & Steel Group Environmental Investment CO.,LTD) and Ms. Zhang Zhen (Associate Professor, Fudan University) are invited to be present at the round table discussion under the topic- Rubbish and Leftover!

ANDREAS SCHMUCKI
Andreas Schmucki (*1979)
Grown up in Switzerland and Austria. Worked as a farmer in the french part of Switzerland. Graduated Nurse, worked in the operating theatre, emergency room and ambulance.
Diploma in project management for expos and events. Project manager and leader of various events and exhibitions all over Switzerland.
Core guide at Expo 2002 in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Chief Guide and Operating Officer at Expo 2005 in Aichi, Japan. Chief Operating Officer at Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China.
Happily married and father of a lovely girl.
Andreas Schmucki is still amazed about the hidden things in his daily life. What happens with trash once thrown away? Where does the waste water go, once flushed?
Andreas Schmucki is recycling on an average level. Flushed a dead pet bird down the toilet (as a kid). Was not able to establish a paper recycling system in his office (in Shanghai).
BEAT ZODERER
Mr. Beat Zoderer (* 1955 in Zurich) completed an apprenticeship as an architectural draftsman and worked in architectural offices from 1971–78. Since 1979 he works as an independent artist. Two studio stipends of the city of Zurich for Genoa in 1986 and New York in 1988 were followed by further grants from the city of Zurich. In 1995 he was awarded the Manor Art Prize and in 1998 he received an award from the Max Bill/ Georges Vantongerloo Foundation, Zumikon/Zurich. His installations, sculptures, assemblages and collages are constructed in ever new shapes, colours and materials. Zoderer thus moves towards a concrete and constructive position in art.
LIU SIMING
Ms. Liu Siming, (*1963), graduated from Chongqing University with major of thermal energy and power engineering and got the bachelor’s degree. She is now a professor senior engineer, a member of CCP, the general manager of Chongqing Iron & Steel Group Environmental Investment CO.,LD, a member of the Party committee, the legal representative and general manager of Wanzhou Energy-from-waste power plant and Kunming Airport Energy-from-waste power plant, the director member of Environmental Technology & Equipment Committee of CSPE, an adjunct Professor of Chongqing College of Science & Technology.
As one of the well-known energy-from-waste experts, Liu gets wide experience of operations management on Energy-from-waste power plant, she is a versatile talent both know technical expertise and management well and master world leading core technology of waste incineration. She does great contribution to the assimilation and localized production of world leading waste incineration technology.
ZHANG ZHEN
Graduated from the Department of Environment Science and Engineering, Fudan University, Ms. Zhang Zhen began to teach at the Institute of Population Research, Fudan University from 1997 to 2004. She’s now an Associate professor of the department of environmental science and engineering, leading several researches on environmental issues, such as Studies on Environmental Capability of Shanghai during Expo 2010 and the Policy System Research on Climate Change Tackling and Low Carbon City Construction of Shanghai during the “12th 5-year” planning. Besides, she’s also working on the studies on the Development Prospects of China’s Domestic Water Related Enterprises and Public Policies Studies on Low Carbon Lifestyle in Urban Area.
