Swissnex Shanghai, Switzerland's outpost for science, technology and culture in China, is an initiative of the Swiss State Secretariat for Education and Research of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Similar institutions are located in Boston, San Francisco and Singapore. Our goal is to fully exploit the potential of cooperation between Switzerland and the respective host countries in the fields of higher education, research, technology, innovation and culture and to promote Switzerland as a leading country in those domains.

Presence Switzerland presented the Swiss Expo Pavilion. A various crowd of people got an insight of Switzerland's presence at the Expo 2010 and enjoyed a networking evening.

Manuel Salchli, Head of Major International Events Presence Switzerland, held a colourful presentation on the Swiss Expo Pavilion.

 

From May 1 to October 31, 2010, Shanghai will be hosting the largest ever world exhibition; the theme of EXPO 2010 is “Better City, Better Life”. The audience of around 70 people got a introduction about Switzerland's Expo presence. The enthusiastic question and answer round, confirmed the large interest glancing into the Swiss Expo Pavilion project in advance. Most guests took the opportunity to chat with Mr Salchli and each other during the cocktail reception. Thanks to all our friends and partners, swissnex Shanghai hopes you had as a great time as we did.
